Insulate Metal Buildings

About Us

The National Insulation Association (NIA) is a Virginia-based trade association representing the mechanical and specialty insulation industry. Founded in 1953, the association currently has approximately 400 member companies throughout North America that consists of contractors, manufacturers, fabricators, distributors, and insulation laminators. For more information about NIA, please visit us at www.insulation.org.

NIA is a member-run and committee-based association. As such, the Metal Building Insulation Laminators Committee is composed of laminators of metal building insulation who are dedicated to developing and promoting industry standards and educational programs for its members. Key objectives of the committee include the following:

  • To develop technical and professional standards that will help laminators deliver the highest quality products and services and, in conjunction with the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), promote these standards within the metal building industry
  • To disseminate information on pertinent health, safety, and other legislative and regulatory issues
  • To act as a liaison with the design, manufacturing, and construction influences in the metal building industry
