Energy Appraisal Program
Based on extensive comments by the task force, provided second working draft of the Energy Appraisal Program manual. Each task force member received an actual manual for review.

Developed script and PowerPoint presentation for use as a Best Practices (Steam Challenge) presentation on the benefits of insulation.

Spent 2 days in Houston, TX with Energy Appraisal Task Force putting together elements of the program, performing a walk-through and collecting materials for the program manual.

Reviewed individual proposals from three research firms, worked with task force in fine tuning proposal from firm selected.

Market Research Project Begins
GIIP Marketing/Outreach committee is working on a proposal to have independent marketing research conducted to help the committee understand the relative importance of insulation to our key audiences, the level of knowledge and benefits of insulated systems and the information needs and preferred methods of communicating among the target audiences. Proposal written and sent out for bid.

Tradeshow Research
GIIP Marketing/Outreach committee is interested in attending smaller, tabletop conferences once the 3E Plus and the NIA website is up and running. A list of fall conferences has been developed. The committee will select two or three conferences based upon target audience and cost.

H.B. Fuller Case Study
Finalized the H.B. Fuller case study. Application was used as a 'dry run' of sorts for the Energy Appraisal Program. Application was written up and a paper was delivered at the 1999 IETC Conference. The article is scheduled to appear in the September issue of Insulation Outlook.

Develop Supporter Survey
Survey was developed and handed out during the San Antonio convention to help GIIP assess the progress of the program to date and to solicit ideas for future program work.

Convention Presentations
"Putting the Power of Insulation To Work" presentation delivered by GIIP chairperson K. Leonard.

"Powerful Tools" roundtable discussion facilitated by M. Wildman and J. Getgood addressed the current informational tools that NIA has to offer and how to incorporate them into day-to-day business.

"Energy Appraisal" roundtable discussion facilitated by B. Wallick, B. Brayman and G. Frye. Session focused on the methodology and then was used as a forum to solicit input on the benefit and future use of such a program.
