- Drafted information fact sheet discussing the most frequently asked questions on NIA Certified Energy Appraisal Program
- "Walk-thru" video completed.
- Joint meeting with NIA/NAIMA to determine the specs, completion and issues

- Surveyed Mock Class participants for possible class dates.

- "Industry Leaders" department focuses on 2 GIIP supporters: Lewis Dill, Lewco Specialty and Kirt Lydell, IREX Corp.

- Highlighted GIIP supporters in the alphabetical listing
- Developed and placed GIIP Pledge Supporter 2-page ad in the Guide.

GIIP Presentation to TIAC
K. Leonard and R. King presented the GIIP activities to TIAC.
TIAC responded with a pledge.
New NIA-404 Brochure Developed
Response piece developed to respond to press release, website and trade advertisement inquiries.
Press Release: "American Buildings Embraces NIA-404 Standard"
Worked with American Buildings and NIA to craft release which was sent to the commercial construction media.
NIA-404/Varco Pruden Press Release appears in the July 2000 issue of Rural Builder
Joint NIA/NAIMA Metal Building Insulation Meeting Held
Presentation made to the NAIMA Metal Building Committee to request financial support for the NIA-404 ad campaign. Support granted. The ad campaign will begin with the September issue of Metal Construction News.
NIA Hosts Steam Best Practices Meeting
The Best Practices Steam Steering Committee held its fifth meeting on July 27-28th in Alexandria, VA to guide the course of actions for the remainder of the year and review accomplishments. Hosted by the NIA and NAIMA, nearly 60 were in attendance. During the course of two days, the group deliberated on marketing issues and set dates for implementation.
Certified Energy Appraisal Program
- Responded to MICA issues with a Q&A fact sheet which was presented at the
Board Meeting.
- Concept, layout, and writing of the Certified Energy Appraisal Marketing
brochure. Draft produced for committee review.
- Writing of the Energy Appraisal "Attendee/Registration" brochure.
- Began survey of SME's and real students for IEAP Mock Class.

- "Industry Leaders" department focuses on 2 GIIP supporters: Myron Nakata,
Acutron, Co, Inc. and H.Vaughan Privett, C.E. Thurston and Son, Inc.
