Warm Gulf Stream currents and trade winds give the Bahamas a semi-tropical climate. In early May, the average temperature is in the mid-80s. In the evenings, the temperature will drop to the mid-70s. The weather is typically sunny, so there is little chance of rainfall. Water temperatures remain comfortable throughout the year, ranging from the mid-70s in the winter to the low 80s in the summer.

Attire

Paradise Island and the Atlantis Resort offer myriad indoor and outdoor activities for visitors, so a variety of attire is necessary. All daytime convention sessions are casual. Golf shirts and resort wear are recommended. Both the Welcome Reception and Appreciation Night will be held outdoors and are business casual. Because these events are held near or on the beach, a light jacket or sweater is recommended for both. The President’s Gala will be business attire this year. Men should wear suits and women should wear cocktail dresses. There are various dining options at Atlantis, from casual to elegant, so it is important to bring attire appropriate for each. Don’t forget to pack appropriate sportswear, including a bathing suit, so you can take advantage of the exercise facilities, golf course, pools, and beach.
