The Westin La Cantera Resort

With its breathtaking views of San Antonio's landscape, The Westin La Cantera is an award-winning resort that offers guests a chance to relax and enjoy its luxurious features. The Westin La Cantera is conveniently located, approximately 12 miles from the San Antonio International Airport, and is about 15 miles from the downtown Central Business District and historic Riverwalk.

Winner of Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of "The World's Best Places to Stay" for 2005, as well as Travel and Leisure Magazine's "500 Greatest Hotels and Resorts for 2004," La Cantera boasts six pools, health club and spa services, tennis courts, unique dining options, a kids club, three hot tubs and generous meeting space.

Golfers will be wowed by the par-72 Resort Course, which hosts the PGA Valero Texas Open. This course was awarded "100 Best Golf Shops 2005" by Golf World Business. The course also features an 80-foot drop from the 7th tee to the fairway.

Among La Cantera's five dinning options, Francesca's at Sunset offers guests a chance to sample Southwestern cuisine. If you prefer a sampling of Texas steaks, your appetite will be satisfied at La Cantera Grille. The Gantry offers refreshments and food to guests situated at the Lost Quarry Pools. In addition, La Cantera also offers 24 hour room service.

Westin Room Reservations

To make your reservations at the NIA discounted room rate, please contact the Westin at 1-888-625-5144 or you can make your reservations online, and mention that you are attending the National Insulation Association's convention at Westin La Cantera. Room rates are $249 plus tax per night, single or double occupancy, and there is an additional daily resort fee of $10, which includes free local phone calls, no access charge for credit card and 800 numbers, in-room Starbucks coffee provided daily, weekday delivery of USA Today, use of the health club, and shuttle service within the resort and to The Palmer Course. The discounted room rates are available from March 17 to March 29, 2005, and are subject to availability at the time of reservation. Reservations must be made by February 22, 2006.
