Convention 2004

Weather, Attire, and Convention Tips

Weather

Tucson enjoys more sunshine than any other city in the United States, about 350 days each year. The days, with very few exceptions, are warm and sunny. The average monthly March temperatures in Tucson are a high of 73 degrees Fahrenheit, low of 45 degrees Fahrenheit and an average of 59 degrees Fahrenheit.

Suggested Attire

Committee Meetings and Sessions

Leave your suits and ties at home, because all sessions will be relaxed and casual. Suitable casual attire includes golf shirts, slacks or shorts, lightweight sweaters or jackets, club attire, and other comfortable clothing.

Evening Functions

First Timer and VIP Reception:
This cocktail reception immediately precedes the Welcome Reception. Please see below for information on attire.

First Night Welcome Reception - Mexican Fiesta:
Please come dressed in evening casual for this reception. Suggested attire can include slacks, golf shirts, sweater sets, and club attire. Desert evenings can get chilly so we recommend a lightweight jacket or sweater, as this is an outdoor event. No ties please.

Associates Night - Wild Wild West:
Come dressed in your western wear to celebrate in style. Recommended attire consists of blue jeans, cowboy boots and hats, bandanas or any kind of denim. This event will take place outdoors, so a light jacket or sweater is recommended.

President's Gala:
This event is a formal, black-tie optional evening reception and dinner. We recommend women wear dressy cocktail, semi-formal, or formal dresses or evening suits. Men should wear suits and neckties or tuxedos. Information on tuxedo rental is included in this confirmation packet.
