New Southern Cooking Demonstration

Mingle with friends new and old while enjoying a live cooking demonstration and tasting from acclaimed author Damon Fowler. Fowler, the author of four cookbooks on Southern cooking, is an extremely entertaining and creative cook. His latest book, The New Southern Kitchen, debuted in May 2002. A live cooking demonstration featuring recipes from his latest cookbook, followed by a tasting of some of his delectable creations, will be presented.

Touring the Historic Homes of Savannah
Friday, April 4, 9:30 am -12:00 pm

Experience an insider’s view of historic homes of Savannah, viewing firsthand houses rich with history, beautiful architecture, and Southern charm. This tour will depart from the Westin. We will then proceed to the historic district, where a brief overview tour will be given, followed by a visit to four private homes. At each stop, an owner will be present to tell us about the home, its antiques and other unique features. At one of the homes, refreshments will be served on its wide porch overlooking a walled garden.
