About Committee Days
Don't miss one of the most important industry meetings and networking opportunities of the year. Register today for NIA's fall Committee Days meeting.
Committee Days is a member-only meeting that focuses on the activities of NIA's active committees. It is one of NIA's two annual meetings that allow committees to report on business, actions items, and current NIA activities. The success of these committees rests solely on the participation of NIA members, who represent different parts of the insulation industry. When NIA members come together, share ideas, discuss industry trends, and express concerns and problems, the industry as a whole benefits.
This year's schedule is aggressive and unique. Seasoned attendees will notice that the committee meetings have been rearranged to accommodate member requests and allow greater opportunity for members to attend as many committee meetings as possible. The luncheon, featuring an informative industry presentation, and reception-usually scheduled on Thursday-have been moved to Wednesday and are included in the Committee Days meeting registration fee. The registration fee to attend Committee Days is $90. (If you wish to attend Committee Days and the Health and Safety Roundtable, please see the instructions on the Health and Safety Roundtable registration form to take advantage of the package discount.)
NIA's Committee Days meeting is one of many NIA member benefits. If you have not attended Committee Days or are not involved in one of NIA's operating committees, please take advantage of this new and exciting meeting schedule. NIA encourages all members to enjoy this opportunity to meet with fellow industry professionals and share your expertise and suggestions on how to further our industry.
What to Expect
NIA's Committee Days meeting attracts approximately 100 members each year, primarily contractor members. With more than ten operating committees meeting, attendees can expect to learn about industry trends; receive updates on programs covering the latest in business topics; and, of course, gain a better understanding of how NIA is helping to educate our industry on the benefits of insulation. As a result of the work of the Foundation, NIA has entered into partnerships with several strategic industry partners to educate specifiers and end users on the benefits of insulation. These partners include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME); the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC); the American Institute of Architects (AIA); the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA); the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI); and others currently being explored. Committee Days is a great venue for updates on these partnerships.
Each year, NIA's luncheon features a respected industry leader to update our membership on insulation and energy issues. In the past, NIA has invited speakers such as Kateri Callahan and Kara Rinaldi of the Alliance to Save Energy. This year's speaker promises to be equally informative.
Expect to learn, take advantage of networking opportunities with your peers, become more informed about our industry, and see why NIA is and always will be the voice of the commercial and industrial insulation industry.
