Special Projects Task Force
In April 2003, the NIA Board approved the formation of a new task force called the Special Projects Task Force. The committees
mission is to monitor, communicate, and disseminate information on current and future asbestos legislation.

Protect Yourself: Tip from the Special Projects Task Force
The Special Projects Task Force recommends that if a company is named
as a defendant in an asbestos-related lawsuit, that they seek
representation by attorneys experienced in asbestos litigation defense,
and also by attorneys experienced in insurance recovery actions. These
attorneys should be in addition to their own corporate attorney.
