2009 Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award

It's time to apply for the 2009 Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award. Named after Theodore H. Brodie, who continually strove to put safety in the forefront of the industry, this award honors companies committed to safety in the workplace. NIA encourages all contractors, distributors, and fabricators to apply.

The judging will focus on each company's overall safety program, means of communication and training, and safety policy. Contractors and Distributors/Fabricators will be judged separately and in categories based on company size. If you do not place in the top three of your category, NIA's legal counsel will give you valuable feedback on ways to improve safety in your workplace. This feedback alone could cost you over $500 if sought outside this application, so for the minimal application fee, your company can reap huge benefits. Remember that the award is based not on safety records but on the safety policy and means of communication and training instilled in your employees.

Finalists and winners of the 2009 Theodore H. Brodie Distinguished Safety Award will be recognized at NIA's 55th Annual Convention, April 28–May 1, 2010, in Orlando, Florida.

The following 2008 safety award winners received public acknowledgment in Insulation Outlook, NIA News, and on the NIA website, www.insulation.org.
